Is there room to live your dreams?

A question that has plagued mankind for generations...Or at least I'm sure it has. It's something I've been wrestling for the last few weeks. Another question: Do I even know what my dream is?

Why does it have to be so hard for an artist? I mean, don't get me wrong I think it's beautiful and romantic that an artist suffers for their work. The best things come from your pain and the most satisfaction from the things you fight for. But am I completely alone in this? Certainly not! Sometimes I wish it was easy. Simple. No strings attached. No "fall back plan." The real deal. Is that such an absurd request?

Some people are blessed with success. They can do what they love, and what makes them happy, and yet everything turns to gold. Those people give us hope. They make us believe that we a capable of obtaining such things. That everyone is able to "live the dream," you just have to want it....Is THAT the simplicity? Is that how we make it easy? Seriously?

Or is is difficult for the life of the indecisive? Is it because I haven't chosen a path? Well, excuse me for wondering what all the options are out there. And it's so hard to stay focused and driven when there is so much doubt and discouragement. Ah! There's the rub! Is that what they have that I don't?

Do we ever really rid ourselves of the doubt? Can we just jump blindly and KNOW that the outcome will be exactly what we hoped for? Because I'm the master of leaping and relying on a higher power. But is it the faith in ourselves that brings us to that place of success and bliss? God will lead us to His designed place for us, but do we influence the mold?

The many questions of a young and searching individual...that's all I can make of this journal. Words...inquisitive statements...and a longing for wisdom.

"I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

Tell me...does this define the lives of many?....or should it?

I think its both...God knows the outcomes that come from our decisions. So make the best decision that can with the information you have now, and God will work with that and lead you to where youre supposed to be.

Being philosophical?...I suppose...but what is philosophy but a feeble attempt at explaining the unknown....and that which we will never understand? Haha, see what I did there? I'm so clever. *snickers to self*

hahaaha yes, i did notice that. thats why i think its hilarious when people try to explain completely unexplainable things. hahahaha I was watching a documentary where they tried to explain the arch of the convenant through...static electricity. the power of God...in my SOCKS!

It's so true! I think my favourite is when they try to re-write who Jesus was. They don't deny he exsisted....just what he did.

Like: He didn't REALLY die....he was just sedated. They gave him something to knock him out. Even if that were true (and come on, let's face it....Luke was a doctor and went into full detail that he was dead, not to mention that Romans were TRAINED to kill....pretty sure they would notice)....don't you think he'd be REALLY, REALLY sore after a day like that! Three days sleeping in a tomb ain't gonna cure an ache like that. So he just "got up" and "rolled back a huge, sealed stone." I think it takes way more faith to believe that!!

hahahaha thats so true! hahaha sedated?? yep, im with you on the whole 'I think the professional Roman killers would know if someone was dead or not' thing. NOT to mention, a Roman soldier stabbed him in the side with a huge sword. Thats not something you just shake off. :D

Oh did you hear the other one. Jesus lived and walked and did miracles and taught....but he did in fact die on the cross....BUT, he had a twin, or someone that looked just like him that "took over" after he was dead!

Ahahahha!

It's like, some random guy is walking by a crucifiction and thinks, "Hey, I look a lot like that guy! Weird. Maybe in three days I'll come back and start a new religion!!" Forget the fact that he had no scars or memory of the life that Jesus lead for the last 33 (roughly) years. I'm pretty sure that all the people that saw Jesus after the ressurection would be able to tell if the guy was a phony.

Oh the things that people will come up with! *sigh* It's sad really.

ohhhh no, Jesus just locked his twin in a closet for the first 33 years of his life, and then when he died, the twin broke out and decided that he'd step out of jesus's shadow and be JUST AS COOL AS JESUS and be the newJesus. It ALLL makes sense
